Participants are categorized into four weight classes — Beginner Weight, Light Weight, Middle Weight and Heavy Weight — to support fair competition among individuals within the same asset brackets.

How to join the Bybit WSOT 2025 Main Competition
The Bybit WSOT 2025 Main Competition is a spot, derivatives and options contest with a total prize pool of 8,000,000 USDT that runs from Aug 27, 10AM UTC to Sep 15, 10AM UTC. All derivatives contracts (including USDT Perpetuals, USDC Contracts, USDC Options, and Inverse Contracts) are eligible. Copy trading and trading bot volumes are alsoeligible for the competition.
To participate in WSOT 2025, click on the Register Now button during the registration stage between Aug 12, 2025, 10AM UTC and Sep 6, 2025, 10AM UTC.
Before joining the Main Competition, you must open a Unified Trading Account (UTA), as only UTAs are eligible for participation. Please note that users located in the EEA (European Economic Area), Market Makers, Pro users and Institutional account users are not eligible for the campaign.
Just like WSOT 2024, this year’s WSOT allows you to use Subaccounts to participate in multiple competitions simultaneously. You can open up to five accounts — one UTA Main Account and four Subaccounts. While no equity is required to register, you must maintain a minimum 100 USDT balance in each participating account in order to be eligible to participate in the Main Competition (for PnL% and PnL leaderboards). There is no equity requirement for the Trading Volume leaderboard.
You can join as a part of a squad and/or as an individual. If you wish to join a squad in the competition, you’ll have to meet the requirements set by the squad. A squad will require a minimum of 10 members to be eligible to participate in the competition. Squads will be ranked based on squad scores, while members within the squad will be ranked based on PnL%. In the event of a tie between squads in the rankings, the squad with the highest total trading volume during the competition will receive the reward.
This year's WSOT expands from last year’s concept of weight class to offer a more inclusive and balanced competition format for traders of all levels. The tiered system allows users to choose from four different levels of wallet amounts, which are then categorized into four different weight classes based on their selected asset tier: Beginner Weight (≥ 100 USDT), Light Weight (≥ 500 USDT), Middle Weight (≥ 2,000 USDT) and Heavy Weight (≥10,000 USDT).
Unlike last year, when asset tiers influenced both individual and team rankings, this year’s asset tiers apply only to the Global Individual Profit leaderboard. The user's asset level doesn’t affect squad rankings, making team competition more about performance than portfolio size.

Bybit WSOT 2025 Main Competition ranking categories
The competition is split into four categories: Global Squad PnL (%), Global Individual Profit, Regional Trading Volume and Individual Daily PnL%. The following explains how we break down the ranking categories for individuals and squads, and details the formula used to determine the winners.
Global Squad PnL%
The Global Squad PnL (%) reward amounts to 3,600,000 USDT, constituting 45% of the total prize pool (to be distributed among the top 40 squads). To be eligible for rewards, your squad’s total trading volume must reach or exceed a minimum of 50,000 USDT during the WSOT Main Competition period from Aug 27–Sep 15, 10AM UTC. If your squad's cumulative trading activity is below this threshold, you won't qualify for the reward distribution, regardless of other factors.
Squad ranking formula
As this year’s squad competition aims to balance elite performance with broader participation for a fairer process, team size and member engagement are crucial for unlocking a larger prize pool. This focus is reflected in the team score formula, which rewards both trading skill and team participation:
Squad score = (PnL% of top 10 eligible members ÷ 10) × 100 + (number of eligible members × 0.5)
Here’s what this means:
The average profit percentage of your top 10 members is scaled and rewarded significantly (multiplied by 100), putting more weight on high-performing traders.
Each eligible squad member contributes 0.5 points to your total score, still encouraging participation but with a lower weight than before.
In each winning squad, the Squad Leader will receive 20% of the squad’s winnings, the top 10 eligible members will share 20% of the squad’s winnings and the remaining 60% of the squad’s winnings will be divided evenly among the squad members who reach the threshold volume.
Global Individual Profit
The Global Individual Profit reward features a prize pool of 1,200,000 USDT, which accounts for 12% of the total prize pool. This prize pool will be distributed among the top participants in each weightage tier as follows:
Beginner Weight: 5% of the pool (up to 50 winners)
Light Weight: 10% (up to 50 winners)
Middle Weight: 25% (up to 50 winners)
Heavy Weight: 60% (up to 50 winners)
Participants must trade at least $50,000 in order to be eligible for rewards. The different weightage tiers help ensure a fair competition environment, as users can compete against others with similar wallet sizes.
How Individual Profit is Calculated
Rankings will be based on users' profits. However, users with a trading volume of less than $50,000 will be excluded.
Regional Trading Volume
The Regional Trading Volume reward is 2,440,000 USDT, which accounts for 30.5% of the total prize pool. Participants are automatically assigned to one of the nine regional groups set for WSOT 2025, based on their account’s registered information. These groups cover 17 Bybit regions (excluding the European Union (EU) and the Netherlands), and include Japan, South Korea, Greater China, Southeast Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA), Middle East and Africa (MEA), Other Commonwealth and Oceania. The top 30 traders from each region will share the overall prize pool based on their trading volume rankings.
Daily Individual PnL%
The Daily Individual PnL% comprises 10% of the total prize pool, and offers a daily fixed reward of 40,000 USDT for 19 consecutive days. Users who trade at least 20,000 USDT per day and rank in the top 100 PnL% leaderboard will earn from the 40,000 USDT daily giveaway.
Frequently asked questions
When and how can I join a squad?
You can join a squad from Aug 12, 2025, 10AM–Sep 6, 2025, 10AM UTC. During this period, if you participate in the Global Squad PnL% competition, you can choose your preferred Squad Leader and join their team to participate in the region-based trading competition. If you join the Regional Trading Volume leaderboard, you don’t have to join a squad, as your region will automatically be assigned, based on your account information. And if you’d rather fly solo, you can still compete as an individual trader — no squad required.
Can I make a withdrawal during the competition period?
There are no restrictions on deposits, withdrawals or asset exchanges during the competition. However, please note that these actions may impact your PnL (%) and competition ranking, as account equity is updated every five minutes. You must maintain at least 100 USDT in equity to remain on the leaderboard. Additionally, any transfer to or from your UTA during the competition period is considered a deposit or withdrawal.
Why should I be a Squad Leader?
Being a Squad Leader comes with multiple exclusive rewards, such as 20% of your squad’s winnings, guaranteed bonuses for early participation and access to VIP-only perks, such as gala tickets, premium subscriptions and VIP trial cards. In addition, as part of the Squad Leader of the Year reward, the top 30 Squad Leaders with the most eligible traders will equally share a 30,000 USDT prize pool.
How do I become a Squad Leader?
You can become a Squad Leader simply by visiting the WSOT homepage and fill in the application form between Aug 12, 2025, 10AM UTC to Aug 27, 2025, 9:30AM UTC. Once you submit your request, approval will be done within two (2) working days. Once your application is approved, you can start recruiting your squad members.
Can I change squads during the competition?
No. You cannot change squads when the competition is taking place. However, you may choose to change to another squad any time before Aug 27, 2025, 9:30AM UTC.
What if my squad has fewer than 10 members?
If a squad has fewer than 10 members by Aug 27, 2025, 9:30AM UTC, the system will dismiss the squad and automatically assign all members (including Squad Leader) randomly to a public squad.
