What Is Bybit Auto-Invest?

Auto-Invest is a feature on Bybit that helps traders and investors automate crypto purchases, using the concept of dollar-cost averaging, in which users commit to investing smaller amounts of money into crypto investments over a specific period of time, rather than a lump-sum investment, to average out their investment risks. 

Currently, Bybit Auto-Invest only supports Fiat Balance and Crypto Available Balance as payment methods. To process your purchase, you first need to deposit funds into your Bybit Funding Account on our Fiat Deposit page.

We highly recommend that you have sufficient fiat and crypto balances ready before scheduled purchases, in order to take full advantage of your Auto-Invest plan. Also, note that the plan will be terminated because of insufficient funds in your Funding Account for three (3) scheduled purchases in a row.

Is Bybit Auto-Invest the Same as Bybit DCA Bot?

Bybit Auto-Invest and Bybit DCA Bot share similarities, but they aren’t the same. Here are some of their differences: Users can rely on the Auto-Invest function to automate their recurring buy of a crypto or fiat asset, based on their preferences. They can use this feature to buy or invest in their preferred assets as a way to diversify their risk as a hedge against market volatility.

Bybit DCA Bot, on the other hand, focuses on helping users accumulate wealth in crypto investment in the Spot market through customized parameters that focus on investment amount (in a single crypto), investment frequency and the maximum investment amount. 

Both of these features are associated with trading fees. Bybit Auto-Invest is free to activate, but there’s a transaction fee after the investment plan is triggered, as you set your monthly automatic investment. Finally, Bybit DCA Bot and Auto-Invest are both subject to a trading fee per transaction, based on the Spot Market.

How to Use Bybit Auto-Invest

By subscribing to an Auto-Invest plan, an automatic Buy Order will be processed according to your predetermined parameters.

Supposing Trader A has set their Auto-Invest plan with the following parameters:

• Crypto Received: BTC

• Investment Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Trader A has set an Auto-Invest plan to purchase BTC every two (2) weeks with $1,000. This means that every two weeks, Bybit will automatically use $1,000 from the trader's Fiat Balance to purchase BTC at the current market price.

The amount of BTC that Trader A receives for each bi-weekly purchase will depend upon the prevailing market price of BTC at that time. If BTC’s price is high, they’ll receive fewer BTC, and if the price is low, they’ll receive more. However, since the purchases occur over a longer time period, the goal is to achieve a lower average cost per unit by using the DCA concept.

Using Bybit's Auto-Invest feature, Trader A can effortlessly accumulate BTC over time without worrying about timing the market or constantly monitoring price movements.

How to Get Started With Auto-Invest

Step 1: Log in to your Bybit account and click on Buy Crypto on the navigation bar of the Bybit website, then select One-Click Buy.

Step 2: Click on Auto-Invest on the menu bar, or locate it beneath the Buy With Fiat button on the One-Click Buy page.

Alternatively, go to the Spot Trading page → Tools and click on Auto-Invest.

Step 3: To create your Auto-Invest plan, please follow the steps below:

1. Choose the fiat currency or cryptocurrency that you would like to pay with, and select the coin that you want to purchase.

2. Enter the amount of fiat currency or cryptocurrency you would like to purchase with.

3. Set the frequency by choosing either a Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly or Monthly interval. You can also select the date and time for your Auto-Invest plan.

Please note the following details in order to comply with countries’ remediation:

• Russian and Belarussian users can only purchase Auto-Invest plans in RUB.

• Dutch users can only use the following four (4) pairs to purchase Auto-Invest plans: EUR/USDT, EUR/USDC, EUR/ETH and EUR/BTC. 

Step 4: Make sure all of your plan’s details are correct, and tick on I have read and agree to Bybit's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then click on Confirm.

Step 5: Your Auto-Invest plan has been successfully created, and will be automatically processed according to the parameters you have set. Please note that an automated email will be sent to your registered email address on Bybit.
