AI assistants have moved beyond research and code generation and are now being used to execute trades, monitor positions and manage portfolios in real time. Until recently, these tasks required API keys, SDK configuration and at least a working knowledge of how exchange endpoints are structured. Most retail traders have never crossed that barrier.

Bybit AI Hub is a unique AI-based interaction layer that removes this obstacle. Instead of connecting to an exchange programmatically, you can paste a single prompt into any AI assistant, such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. Then, the assistant loads a full trading skill to analyze the market, provide your account overview or execute orders across Bybit’s Spot, Derivatives and Earn products. No installation or developer setup is needed. The AI becomes the interface, translating natural language into live exchange calls across Bybit's API trading infrastructure.

Key Takeaways:

  • Bybit AI Hub is a zero-installation interface that lets any AI assistant execute live trades on Bybit through natural language prompts.

  • You can analyze markets, place Spot and Derivatives orders, manage positions and check account balances — all via your preferred AI chat assistant, without touching the exchange UI.

What you need before starting

Before issuing your first trade prompt, you’ll need three things:

  • An active Bybit account with API access enabled. Read and Trade permissions are sufficient; Withdraw should remain disabled.

  • Access to an AI assistant capable of reading external URLs or uploaded files. Popular assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude all have this capability.

  • Most importantly, you need a working understanding of basic crypto trading concepts, such as order types, leverage mechanics and position sizing. This is because the AI only executes what you instruct, and ambiguous commands can produce unintended results.

How to trade crypto using AI prompts on Bybit

Step 1: Open the Bybit AI Hub page

Go to the Bybit AI Hub page on the Bybit website. There, you'll find a ready-made instruction prompt — a single line that points any AI assistant to the hosted SKILL.md file on GitHub. Copy the prompt exactly as provided.

Step 2: Paste the prompt into an AI assistant

Open your preferred AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or any AI chat tool that can fetch external content. Paste the copied prompt directly into the chat. This tells the assistant where to retrieve the skill definition and what to do with it.

Step 3: Let the AI load the trading skill

The assistant fetches the SKILL.md file from Bybit's GitHub repository, and reads it as a structured capability set. Once loaded, it gains access to supported trading modules: market data, Spot and Derivatives order execution, account management and Bybit Earn products. No confirmation from you is needed at this stage, as the AI handles the initialization.

To enable the trading features, you’ll need to create an API key within your Bybit account’s API Management section by clicking on Create New Key. As a basic option, the System-Generated API Key option will suffice. You’ll provide the key to your AI assistant for authenticated access to protected operations.

Step 4: Start using natural language prompts

With the skill now active, you can issue trading commands in plain language for instant execution. The AI maps each instruction to the corresponding API call. Some examples:

  • For market analysis: "What is the current BTC price?" or "Analyze the ETH 4-hour chart."

  • For Spot trading: "Buy 500 USDT worth of BTC" or "Place a limit order for 1 ETH at 3,800 USDT."

  • For Derivatives: "Open a BTC long position with 10x leverage" or "Set take profit at 90,000 USDT and stop loss at 78,000 USDT."

Step 5: Confirm the transaction

Every write operation on mainnet — such as orders, position changes, transfers — triggers a structured confirmation card before execution. You must type CONFIRM explicitly to proceed. Please note that orders exceeding 20% of your account balance or $10,000 in notional value trigger an additional warning before execution.

Examples of tasks you can perform with AI prompts

When you want market context before entering a position, prompt the AI directly: "What's the current BTC Perps funding rate?" or "Show me ETH open interest over the past 24 hours." These pull live data without leaving the chat.

For Spot execution: "Buy 200 USDT worth of SOL at market price" or "Place a limit sell for 0.5 BTC at 95,000 USDT."

For Derivatives: "Open a 5x long on ETHUSDT Perpetual" or "Close 50% of my BTC short position."

Risk settings, such as stop-loss and take-profit, can be applied in a single prompt (e.g., "Set stop loss at 78,000 USDT and take profit at 92,000 USDT on my BTC long"), and not across multiple panels.

On the account side: "What's my current USDT balance?" or "Show my past 10 transactions."

Tips for using AI trading prompts

Prompt specificity affects results. Instead of "Buy BTC," say, "Buy 0.01 BTC at market using USDT from my UTA account." Be clear and specific.

Before confirming any order, review the structured summary card the AI generates. It should show the order type, size, price and account impact in a readable format. Treat it the same way you'd treat a manual pre-trade double-check.

When testing a new prompt workflow for the first time, use small position sizes to check the execution accuracy and impact.

Closing thoughts

Bybit AI Hub redefines the way crypto trading works — not by adding another interface layer, but by replacing the interface with natural language. The full execution stack — Spot orders, Derivatives positions, Earn products and account operations — is reachable through a conversation with an AI assistant that has read a single file. Strategies that previously required coded bots or manual API testing can now be described and executed in plain language.

As AI assistants become more capable of multi-step reasoning, Bybit AI Hub will keep tearing down barriers to entry in order to provide more efficient crypto trading for you.
